This is the Discussion Board. Here anyone can post a comment and discuss certain subjects that are up for debate. I will also be posting things on here that are in need of debate and I encourage people to use it often, that way we can get things done relatively quick. Thank you.

Sound System Proposal
Pros
- No need to ever worry about sound requirements of dance rooms.
- Same system every setup, less confusion.
- Easier to hook up with just red and white 1/4 inch jacks.
- Saves money in the long run.
Cons
- It will cost us $568.00 for this year.
- It is our responsibility to store and move it.
- If it breaks, we no longer have it.
STATUS:Approved
So Far: We have a sound board, one mic stand, and some cords.
Summertime: Fundraise for parts.

Light Equipment
The proposal here, is to get light equipment for the club photographer so better pictures can be taken for advertisements and the like. Also so dance photos of couples can be taken during big dances without straining using a flash.
Take into consideration, the equipment would range from 150-400 dollars in price, but would eliminate the yellow tint from photos, get rid of distortion, and allow for clean and crisp pictures.
STATUS: Pending

Membership Cards Spring 2008 – Fall 2008 Expiration
The proposal in this case, is to create a card for members of the club that gives discounts at local businesses. This may incur that we give a small portion of dues to said businesses, but we could make it cheap. If we stick to just a few of our big sponsors who don’t care and will give us a deal to begin with, then it would be real easy to set up one of these.
Added perks of the card; this card would also allow members to get a discount on workshops and would allow them to borrow out dance materials(videos).
STATUS: Approved – Vote was unanimous
Report: Currently still not a good source of funds, but significant enough not to be ignored. If we sell them before the Alph Gam cards, we should be good to go.

Workshops With Lady Edgar
The proposal here, is to combine efforts with the Superior School Of Dance and offer workshops to Lady Edgar of Tango, Swing, Salsa, and Ballroom. In return, she would offer workshops for us in the form of Modern, Jazz, Tap, Ballet, and Hip Hop.
STATUS: Approved – Vote was unanimous
Report: No word from Lady.

Club Workshops/Dances In The Karate Institute Of America’s Ballroom
In this proposal, we had an offer from the Karate Institute to use their ballroom for 150-200 dollars fee and 300-500 dollars deposit. The dimensions of the room are at least 60×100 or slightly larger. There is a sound system for use and it is quite excellent. The renter is lenient and is a good person to deal with.
Rules of the Rent
- No Street Shoes, only CLEAN dance shoes allowed
- No Taping or Tacking to the walls or molding
- No Touching the mirrors
- No misplacement of karate equipment
STATUS: Approved – Vote was unanimous
Report: Still looking for a use.

International Night 2008
We were approached by the I-club to do an I-Night performance. We chose to do a blues performance and a tango performance.
